inspection, to ensure new start ups have safe working environments and practices; and, opportunities for funding through Intilaaqah partners (3 Intilaaqah graduates funded by EG group).

is a Shell sponsored initiative based on the Shell LiveWIRE programme. Launched in January 2004 the programme offers high-quality training, advice, and support to young nationals who wish to start their own businesses.

aims to support youth development and encourage young people, between the age of 18 and 32, to set up their own business. The programme raises awareness of starting a business among young people, and builds capacity, particularly among young unemployed people, to become self-employed.

shares successful business practices with young people in order that their business can survive and grow. The programme develops competence standards for young entrepreneurs and their socio-economic condition.
To-date, Intilaaqah
Egypt
has trained over 1,368 candidates and assisted 175 businesses to start up.
