November Shell LiveWIRE 'Grand Ideas' Awards winners announced

The £1,000 Shell LiveWIRE 'Grand Ideas' Awards winners for November 2009 (awarded at the end of December) are:





Nicola Jordan (iNeedBabysitter), South Shields – iNeedBabysitter is a premium rate babysitting service aimed at higher income families. As a specialist service, all staff are fully CRB background checked and are professionally trained university graduates. In this way, their babysitting services are carried out by well-rounded individuals and delivered to footballers, directors and other high-level professionals.






Janan Thompson (Export Connections), Leeds – Export Connections provides manufacturers with the opportunity to export their products overseas. They provide their clients with research and overseas distribution networks and introductions to those networks.






Laura Milligan (Laura Felicity), Hertfordshire – Laura Felicity designs and produces silkscreen-printed wallpapers and home wares as well as hand-stitched plaster features. All products are created by hand, which means each piece is distinctive in terms of production. The designs feature a combination of floral and ornate patterns to create a modern elegance. The wallpaper and home wares consist of a number of layers and each layer is individually screen printed.
