Hi all,

I wont make this too long but I thought to take a few minutes of your time to elaborate on my business idea, what it aims to achieve and how I would use the award money.

www.styleramp.co.uk is a fashion website that is new, creative and innovative. It covers a much needed niche market of fashion and physical impairment. It had been said that disabled people have up to 3 billion spending power so surely the highstreet and designer markets should be digging their teeth into marketing towards the physically impaired?

My father has been a wheelchair user since a young boy and because of this i have been aware of the lack of but much needed facilities that disabled people require. One of these being the lack of resources and information about styling for those with physical impairment, who are likely to be restricted with fashion because they need to consider a walking aid and/or an unsubscribed body structure. Able bodied people are continuously provided with information on how to style around specific body types and age groups and so on therefore, those with physical impairment need to discover how to style themselves by thinking out of the box on the other hand, some lack the creativity to know how to style around their impairment and just settle for comfort instead. However, in a fashion conscious world where appearance is everything it is also important for those with impairment to uphold a certain amount of presentation to feel good.Therefore, my website fills that gap in the market by aiming to provide specialized advice on how to style around physical impairment.

Many disabled people need to alter their clothing due to their body type because of this I aim to provide DIY tutorial videos on how to do your own alterations and customization these videos can appeal to any individual wanting to adapt clothing. Also, I want to prove that creative fashion shoots can use disabled models effectively to sell clothing by producing monthly shoots using purely disabled models, hightstreet and designer clothing and a bag load of creativity and fun! I believe that by doing this Ramp could potentially open a door for talented disabled models to be used in advertising.

At the moment I have been using up my resources to create the website however, for the website to be affective it needs a lot of work including a subscription system and a system that allows me to add articles myself without having to pass them along to my friend first. The award will allow me to develop the website and give funding to create the second big and creative shoot! This step will give me the opportunity to kick start the website and become even more proactive with it.

Ramp is something that is not already out there and with the correct support and drive behind it it has the potential to become something great. I hope you are able to support my idea and keep up to date with the evolving of this website!
