Brazilian LiveWIRE is named Iniciativa Jovem, which means “Youth Initiative”. Iniciativa Jovem helps young people between 18 and 30 years old, graduated or not, to start their own sustainable businesses, benefiting their communities. The programme offers, free of charge, the following activities:

  • Ideas Lab (1 month): This involves workshops and training, including games and RPGs, which aim to raise awareness on the sustainable entrepreneurship concept.
  • Business Plan Workshop (4 months): At this stage, the young people transform their ideas into business plans. They attend workshops on specific subjects, such as HR, finance, marketing and strategic planning. Consultancy services provided by volunteers are also available.
  • Sustainable Entrepreneur Seal: A jury, composed of experts representing key organizations related to entrepreneurship and business, evaluate the young people’s business plans.
  • Sustainable Entrepreneur Award: The young people that receive the seal can apply for the award.
  •  Business Factory (7 months): Business implementation phase. Workshops and consultancy services provided by volunteers are also available. At this stage, a mentoring programme is established and the new businesses join a network, in which the young people can exchange experiences and strengthen their businesses through partnerships.
