Rafiq El Gritly
Spotting a gap in the market and moving in to fill it swiftly with a sound business approach is the foundation for Rafiq El Gritly’s entrepreneurial success.
Aged just 18 years old, Rafiq saw a great business opportunity for a professional cleaning services company, and along with two friends decided to start up his business “Al-Mutamaizon for cleaning services” in 2002.
The business model is beautifully simple, which is a characteristic shared by many of the best ideas, and focuses on cleaning carpets and rugs along with office cleaning. In the local region success is assured because there is virtually no competition and demand far outweighs supply.
Today, Rafiq skilfully combines his role as a successful entrepreneur with his life as a university student reading communications engineering. His business has grown to employ five staff, and has cleaning contracts with oil companies, airlines, and the first five star hotels in Tripoli.
Rafiq says that Intilaaqah Libya has enabled him to develop his business management skills, making him better able to lead his staff and market the business.
Growing the business, winning contracts with large companies across all sectors, and becoming a premier cleaning company are some of Rafiq’s future ambitions for the business.
