inspiring enterprise around the world
The Shell LiveWire Young Business Start Up Award is an annual country based competition designed to recognise and reward young people who are successful in business. The role models that are produced by the awards can also help to raise awareness that running a business is a viable career option for young people. The awards can help gain a high press profile for the young business people and the general entrepreneurship message. Not all LiveWire country programmes run an annual award programme; see specific country websites for further information go to Find a Programme link.
The awards also offer a chance for young people to meet with other like-minded young people and to share experiences, views, challenges and opportunities. Experience has shown that for the young people this is a very valuable opportunity and one which they make good use of.
The competition identifies young business start role models and rewards those that have started a business successfully. The Awards judging criteria are based on the young business person who has the most viable business idea and the necessary qualities and skills and ability to make that idea work.
Entry into the local country Awards is by Business Plan adhering to local specification. All entrants also need to comply with age, length of business and legal criteria.
