inspiring enterprise around the world

Shell LiveWire programmes around the world aim to offer help and support to young people when they are seeking to make a choice about their future career.  LiveWire works in each country (see Find a Programme for country list) to promote the option of starting a business as a viable career option.  Each programme enquirer will have access to information, mentoring support and business tools to help them make the best decision for themselves and if they choose to explore starting a business then access to training and skills to produce their own business plan.

LiveWire appreciates that young people have many choices and that entrepreneurship and the development of new small business is vital to any country's economy.   The small business sector generates the majority of new jobs today, and small businesses contribute a very high percentage of all available jobs globally.  LiveWire programmes hope to support young people to make a positive contribution to a thriving small business sector which in turn boosts the economy and creates employment opportunities for our young people.

LiveWire programmes in each country are based on and follow the core themes of the Shell LiveWire International programme but each individual programme is tailored to its host country context and situation.  Also each country programme can take a local name in addition to being managed and delivered locally.
