Whatever your style of music, whatever your age, and wherever you're based in the UK, your music is a reflection on your personality and your style. I'm Dave Scotford and I'm a young entrepreneur running an indie record label called Red Monster Records. The label focuses on indie rock / acoustic bands and solo artists mainly from in and around the UK. I've been involved in music since I was 14, I had a short-ish stint helping out a friends band arrange gigs and then a few years later I started up my own little promotions business running a gig a month - Red Music Promotions. Around May 2009 the business moved more into a record label and it's been Red Monster Records since. The label still runs it's own gigs as a showcase event - giving us the chance to look at up-and-coming bands, but our main focus is on producing and selling records with the acts on our books. The acts on the record label are all doing really well; 2 Days Notice won the Becon Radio Battle of the Bands and were named runners up of the Kerrang event. Georgia Szygowska and Hannah Grove are gearing up to record their split EP to be released in the summer of 2010. The final act, Swim To The Skies, are also getting ready to record their first EP and their fan base is climbing rapidly!
