Hey everyone
You can find me in the top 8 for this months Grand Ideas awards, heres why I think you should vote for me;
I started my website just a few months ago, with just a few model members joining to get advice from me on how to make it as a model after 6 successful years in the industry as a model myself. Within these few months nearly 500 models have joined and the website has grown and grown, we are about to launch a new model agency after securing contracts with top magazines and companies such as Thundersport GB.
My model academy trains models up, giving them the advice and skills they need to make it as a model. With monthly seminars and training days (yes you can run a seminar on becoming a model and its not all glitz and glam-the girls learn how to manage themselves, become self employed, organise their accounts books and so on not just how to look pretty!).
We warn them of model scams that affect so many new models, the industry is full of sharks preying on young girls as they know girls will pay anything to become a model. So I feel we are making the industry a nicer, and safer place and offering young girls the support they cannot find elsewhere.
We now run our own beauty pageant, called The Model of the Year, our December 2008 final was organised and contestants found within a matter of weeks, and it was a great success. If I make the final 5 this month and am given the £1000 grant I will use this for a venue for my 2009 grand final. Giving 30 new models the chance to be seen by national press and fulfill their dreams, and giving my company maximum publicity.
I am expecting 500 ticket sales at £10 a head totally £5000 profit from this one days event, this money will be spent on future advertising for my company and future events leading to an even greater turnover for my Model Academy. So instead of using the £1000 for advertising I will use it to make me event the best it can be, with red carpets and a good stage area for the show.
I hope you like my ideas, and that I win your vote for the Grand Ideas awards this month.
