The latest additions to the Hall of Fame include an innovative medical company from the Netherlands who produced the world’s first lower jawbone implant using 3D printing technology. There’s also one of Pakistan’s fastest growing digital media agencies; a company from the UK behind the world’s most portable room divider; and, a groundbreaking social enterprise from Brazil that has created the country’s first direct sales network of sustainable products which sustains the employment of over 700 craftswomen.

Each entrepreneur has shown remarkable vision, innovation, courage and leadership to turn their business idea into an outstanding commercial success. Between them, they have created employment opportunities for around 950 people, which is a significant contribution to their local economies. They epitomise what Shell LiveWIRE is all about, and each one thoroughly deserves their place in the Hall of Fame.

The latest inductee businesses are:

Abia International Company, an innovative creative media company from Nigeria, employing 17 staff.

Cherish Optical Centre, a leading provider of quality eye care in Nigeria’s Delta State, the business has 8 employees.

Daaman, one of Pakistan’s premier women’s clothing labels, the business has over 40 employees and three stores in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

FreshMinds, a leading research and recruitment consultancy employing more than 100 full time staff and named one of the best 100 small companies to work for by the UK national newspaper, The Sunday Times.

Julia Vidal, an ethical ethnic fashion label that celebrates Brazil’s cultural heritage, providing employment for 20 people, Julia Vidal is gaining international recognition.

KwickScreen, providing the world’s most portable room divider, the company has cornered the hospital market in the UK and now exports to nine other countries, employing 30 people.

Mvergence Media, one of the fastest growing digital media agencies in Pakistan, employing 25 staff.

Rede Asta, a trailblazing social enterprise providing the first direct sales network of sustainable products in Brazil. The company works with more than 50 producer groups and provides an income for over 700 craftswomen.

The Nail Lounge, based in Alkhobar in Saudi Arabia it’s the region’s first manicure and pedicure spa. Employing six staff, the business plans to open franchises throughout the Gulf region.

Xilloc Medical B.V., innovators in the medical world from the Netherlands, Xilloc has revolutionised the implant industry by using 3D printing to create customised implants to reconstruct bone defects in patients.

The latest inductees join an elite group of 23 young entrepreneurs in the Shell LiveWIRE International Hall of Fame. They include the first ever national LiveWIRE award winner from Scotland, who started off making lobster pots and now runs one of the largest marine supplies businesses in the UK. There’s also the largest online retailer of glasses in the world; the only ceramics factory in Pakistan run by a woman, and a Dutch company that has designed the ultimate umbrella.
