Latest News / Entrepreneurs target high growth despite geopolitical uncertainty

The latest EY Growth Barometer reveals that despite geopolitical tensions, including Brexit, nearly one in four entrepreneurs (22%) are forecasting growth of more than 26% this year.

The survey of 220 alumni of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year programme also discovered that almost two-thirds (61%) plan increases in full-time staff and 9% will increase their use of gig economy workers.

Commenting on the report’s findings, Annette Kimmitt, EY Global Markets Leader said, “High-growth entrepreneurs are not fazed by the kinds of seismic shocks that Brexit and other geopolitical upheavals present. They are developing agile and flexible strategies to work with uncertainty as the new normal.”
