Shell France is partnering with Shell LiveWIRE France start-up MonMécanicien to build together the automotive after-sales world of tomorrow.

Shell’s commercial agreement with MonMécanicien, the online marketplace connecting motorists to certified garages for affordable and transparent vehicle servicing and repairs, will provide preferential terms and valuable discounts for Shell’s customers using the platform.

The partnership with Shell France Lubricants will also ensure the approved partner garages and mechanics have access to the best possible tools to respond to customer requirements in the most competitive way possible.

Over the past nine months, MonMécanicien has received intensive business development support from Shell LiveWIRE France, which aims to accelerate start-ups in the energy, mobility, Industry 4.0, and Connected Customer sectors. In addition to a customised package of business acceleration support, the potential of each start-up is assessed with the ambition to include suitable alumni within Shell France’s value chain. Following the business’ successful participation in the LiveWIRE programme, both Shell and MonMécanicien wanted to go further together by developing this partnership agreement.

“Above all, it demonstrates to digital operators Shell’s ability to innovate, to build together the automotive after-sales world of tomorrow.”

With its focus on providing a simple, transparent and affordable service, MonMécanicien aims to provide an unrivalled connected customer experience. In just two clicks, and after submitting their post code and vehicle registration number, customers receive quotes for their servicing or repairs in all partner garages in their local area. This enables them to make their preferred choice based on price, web discounts, customer reviews and availability.

MonMécanicien is also the garage’s partner, providing them with a dedicated management system (SaaS) which helps them to manage and organise their activities with ease, resulting in additional revenue. Over the last 12 months, the platform received more than 2m visitors, with practically national coverage. Today, MonMécanicien estimates an increase in turnover of around 10% for its certified garages based in the most urban areas.
