The latest report from Accenture concludes that collaboration with start-ups adds value to large businesses in the current climate of digital disruption.

The Technology for People: The Era of the Intelligent Enterprise 2017 Report found that large companies wanting to remain sustainable and grow within the disruptive business environment shaped by new technology, benefit from collaboration with start-ups, commenting the investment would, “establish a foothold in an area critical to your organisation’s transformation.”

The annual forecast of technology trends shaping the future of business, provides insight into how the business landscape is changing, in particular as start-ups champion technological innovation and new business models. The five trends highlighted by the 2017 report include: on-demand workforce models; greater collaboration in digital businesses; AI and greater personalisation across the technology sector – with products adapting to user behaviours.

In 2016, the list included predictable disruption rather than the inevitable disruption of this years’ list, demonstrating the radical pace at which technological innovation is driving change within businesses.
