Chordify is an online music service that transforms recorded music into chords, providing an easy, accessible way for customers to play along and learn the music of their choice.

Bas’ Let’s Go Trade (LGT) visit to Silicon Valley was organised around tech companies in the Bay area, with visits to world leading companies including, Apple, Pandora and EA Games. Building relationships and gaining knowledge from these global brands enabled him to develop a greater understanding of his industry and gain insight into best practice, emerging innovations, and current conversations developing within the sector.

The focus of Bas’ LGT visit was a meeting with Chordify’s new brand ambassador, rock and heavy metal guitarist Marcus Henderson. Marcus, a well-known public figure who previously represented the GuitarHero brand, had agreed to publically endorse and represent Chordify. During his time in Silicon Valley Bas undertook a media tour with Marcus to promote the business. This greatly enhanced awareness of Chordify and its products in the US, created marketing assets, and developed Bas’ relationship with his media representative. He now feels greater confidence in a long, beneficial working relationship with the musician.

With the LGT trip enabling Chordify to secure the vital endorsement by a relevant public figure, Bas intends to make the most of this achievement and translate this success into further sales and market share. Marcus has since represented Chordify at San Francisco’s Music Tech Summit and the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Trade Show, successfully building momentum behind Chordify’s growing profile within the sector.

While in Silicon Valley, Bas undertook several meetings with potential investors, including BootstrapLab and Wells Fargo, gaining support for a new round of funding. He will use this to achieve his next goals, including developing the core technology his product is built on to integrate more social experiences and diversifying their range of apps so Chordify can be offered on all popular mobile platforms.
